Meet the judges of EOC 2026
Introducing our team of judges.
Learn more about each of them in the presentations below.
Michelle Dodson
My Love of Music, Dogs and Dance stretches back through my early childhood. I was training and dancing with the Royal Academy of Ballet by the time I was three years old. I come from a family of dog lovers, dog breeders and trainers, but it was my mid-twenties before I really fell into the world of dog training and heelwork to music. Training, competing and teaching have been a passion for me ever since.
My judging experience spans back over 15 years in both HTM and Obedience. I have had the honor of Judging at Crufts and across the world from Europe to Japan and Australia. My last time judging in Sweden was for the Nordic Championships in 2012, so I am really looking forward to going back again and experiencing more of this beautiful region. Thank you to the organisers for inviting me.
Teaching and delivering a Championship worthy performance is no easy feat, but incredibly rewarding. There is so much to consider; finding the music, coming up with a new concept, designing a programme which will appeal to both the expert judges and the audience, as well as being fun to perform. And then, of course, making it happen through positive, reward-based training; creative ways of teaching; and purposeful choreography. It is always a privilege as a judge to see the many creative, varied and inspiring routines that competitors have come up with. I wish all the talented line up of dogs and handlers a great competition an fun experience!

First of all, it is a great honor to be invited to be a judge at the EOC 2026 in Sweden. I am looking so much foreward to see all the awesome routines and great performances. To see teams with focus on the team having a good iteraction/having fun during the presentation.
A little about myself. I have been a part of the Danish Dogdancing community nearly from the beginning, starting with my dachshund Addi, with who I have been so lucky to be on the Danish National Team several times. So I know the feeling of being a part of something fantastic like this.
Right now I have 3 dogs and I love to train Dogdancing with all 3, and my FT Cocker Spaniel is now in class 2.
I have been a judge for many years and love to see the collaboration between dog and the handler and how the routines are created.
I know that there are a lot of feelings involved in a championchip like this and I’ll do my best to be good judge and wish you and your dog a wonderful time in the ring and during the whole event. See you in September.
Johanna Mamrelund
Hello everyone,
My name is Johanna Mamrelund, and I run my own dog walking business in central Stockholm, Sweden, where I spend my days walking and training dogs — something I am truly passionate about.
I have been a judge since 2010 and have had the pleasure of judging many competitions across Sweden over the years.
I have also had the honor of judging championships such as the Swedish Youth Championship and the Nordic Championships, as well as several freestyle competitions in Finland.
Earlier, I had a Kelpie and a small mixed-breed dog that I trained extensively in freestyle and heelwork to music, and we also competed together in freestyle. At the moment, I unfortunately don’t have a dog of my own, but I train other people’s dogs and I’m very much looking forward to welcoming a new puppy in spring 2027, who I hope to train and compete with in heelwork to music.
It is truly a great honor for me to judge a European Championship, and I am very excited to be here. I really look forward to meeting all of you and seeing the wonderful performances from so many talented teams this weekend.
I wish you all the very best of luck — and most importantly, I hope you enjoy every moment with your dogs.
My Kroon
My name is My Kroon, I am 27 years old and I live in Stockholm, Sweden with my husband and my three kids. I have been a dog dancing judge for the past six years.
Before becoming a judge, I competed myself with both a Chinese’s crested powder puff and a Border collie, which has given me valuable insight into different styles, strengths, and challenges within the sport.
What I truly love about Freestyle and Heelwork to Music is the creativity and artistry involved. Seeing the unique expression of each team and the strong partnership between handler and dog is what makes the sport so special to me. The cooperation, trust, and joy shared in the ring are what inspire me the most.
I wish you all the best in the ring!
